Walton Ford: America the Beautifully Absurd 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 4
Walton Ford creates superrealist, large scale animal paintings, watercolors and prints in his Great Barrington studio that are a nod to the worlds of John James Audobon, with overlays of surrealism, and a dash of absurdity. This “fake natural-history art” borrows from the world of art and history. Part of the “Eye to Ear” Lecture Series, created by the Pittsfield Cultural Council and hosted by the Berkshire Museum. Sponsored in collaboration with the Berkshire Arts Association.
